All Purpose Cleaner

1 tsp liquid dish soap
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp white vinegar
2 cups water

I won't be buying Swiffer refills ever again!!!I used this solution on my hardwood floors, coffee table, and counter tops. I love it. I mixed mine into an old windex spray bottle. Sprayed it on my floors and used my Swiffer with a new pad on it to mop it up. Worked like a charm!

Floor headed into the Play Room: the place finger prints and messes are inevitable! CLEAN!

Front door/foyer: Spotless!

DIY Play-Doh

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil
Food coloring

Mix dry ingredients into a saucepan. Then add the wet ingredients and food coloring.

Stir over medium heat. It will get tough to stir as it solidifies.

Once the entire amount seems to look like it is "drying" out in the pot, dump it out onto a clean dry surface and knead it until smooth.

Let it cool before letting the kids play with it! Fun for all!!!

3D Paper Stars Tutorial

Let's Start Small:

Cut your paper into 1/2  inch strips. My paper is 12 inches long. The thicker the paper, the harder it will be to work with.

At the very end of the strip, tie a knot. Try to get it close to the end  and flatten the knot. Then simply trim off the excess from the SHORT end.

Now wrap the long end around the knot to the very end of the paper strip.

Tuck the remaining bit inside the knot.

Indent the straight sides with your finger nail and pinch the points to shape your Star.

All Done!!!

Just Starting Out!

Well, I'm just starting this blog to do what I wish I could find myself online and all in one place; DIY, easy, fun, beautiful, things of all sorts. I love to "upcycle" and "repurpose". I love to do activities with my daughter. Crafting, drawing, cooking, baking...it all relaxes me and makes me feel like a better Mom when I can include my daughter. My hands always seem to need something to do. When I was younger I would continuously have tiny bits of paper in my pocket and I would fold origami cranes without even realizing I was doing it. Now, I craft every second I have the chance. If there is something you wish you could figure out how to do, let me know! I'm full of great ideas! WELL! Here we go!!!!
